Parent-Infant Mental Health Family Support Worker – Rochdale

As a Parent-Infant Mental Health Family Support Worker, you’ll ensure the provision of high-quality support to designated families for a limited time, before a volunteer is matched for longer-term support. Your support will focus on promoting and protecting early relationships through home visiting and in community peer support group settings.
You’ll work with our Family Support Coordinators to support parents with children under 2, visiting regular to offer focused, taliored support to parents and children. You’ll develop and maintain relationships with external partners to provide joined-up support for families, maintain good safeguarding practice and ensure that families receive the highest quality of support. As you will be supporting families across Rochdale, you will need your own transport and to be able to travel to these areas.
Job Description & Person Specification – PIMH Family Support Worker
Hours: 36 hours per week
Salary: NJC 5-6 (Currently £24,790 – £25,183 pro rata based on 36 hr/wk)
Contract: Funded to 31st March 2026 – further continuation subject to funding
Main Base: Working in the community across Rochdale. We have an office base in Rochale OL11, with opportunities for co-working. We fully support hybrid and flexible working, and you will need the use of a car to travel to families’ homes and community venues.
